Participatory Performance Projects


Creative Lives – Mapping Creativity in Bridgend (2024)

Lead artist facilitating 4 creative conversations across Bridgend borough to explore the current creative activity and discuss what might be needed to create a thriving creative scene.


Light Boats (2023)

Lead artist for a participatory live art event on Whitesands beach, St David’s to mark the end of a 3-yr archaeological dig and provide a space for emotional expression related to that work, commissioned by Pembrokeshire County Council.


Here Now Yma Nawr (2020)

Leading a small team of artists to work 1-2-1 in the community with people who had experienced a birth or bereavement during the pandemic, leading to a live outdoor performance and a film, funded by ACW.


Birth Café (2019-20)

Supporting women to tell their birth stories from their bodies in a café-style setting with People Speak Up.


The Birth of St David (2019)  

A performance walk to the birthplace of St Davids with 45 attendees of the launch of Ancient Connections. The group was split into 5 groups, each had a story to take with them that told them something about the birth of St David. The stories were written in response to the 11th century text by Rhigyfarch and aimed to rupture the single narrative which has persisted as the ‘truth.’


The Story Hideaway (2019 & 2020)   

Yr 1/2 storytelling project, St Mary the Virgin Primary School, Butetown, exploring literacy and wellbeing through somatic storytelling and artmaking. Incorporating creative play in the woodland and creation of a Story Hideaway co-designed with the children. Leading to a sharing event for families and a small book of stories. The project was rolled out to Yr1 pupil in Lansdowne Primary in 2020 and developed for Yr 5 pupils at St Mary’s.


Hafod Morfa Copperworks (2018/19)

Community engagement project exploring the Copperworks in Swansea with VR digital interpretation. Working with Yr 4 pupils at Hafod Primary school to create an
imagined soundtrack of the Musgrave Engine, which was incorporated into a 3D model of the Engine House and screened at an event in Volcano Theatre in June
2019. In 2020 the school created a musical drama about the site as well as developing a digital trail.  I worked as Creative Producer with Pentrehafod comprehensive to create a music video and Crisis art group to make a glass artwork.


Inner Compass (2013)

Youth project: 4-day walk-as-performance from Bridgend to the Senedd to FM Carwyn Jones to have a dialogue about youth experiences as funding cuts began in youth services.


Llan (2012/13)

A project working with women using performance, film & blogging in an exploration of motherhood and home.


Sword in the Stone (2013), The Round Table (2013) & Raven in the Trees (2012)                 

Interactive story weekends in the woods weaving myths with forest arts, music, performance and adventure with families and young people.


Voyage (2012)

A film project working in partnership with Welsh Refugee Council culminating poetic portraits of three African women who have been asylum seekers and now
live in Cardiff.

A youth performance project exploring themes related to sexual identity.
